Hello. I attended my Getting Started Training on Wednesday at the Holiday Inn in East Kilbride. There was around 16 of us attended. We had 2 speakers, both Scottish, one a retired policeman and other worked in the Financial Services. Both, are now fully retired and work whenever they want on the promoting and signing up Utility Warehouse customers. I found the training thoroughly enjoyable and had got a great deal from it. They helped you with customer gathering techniques and we had the chance to practice them on each other which, in my opinion gave me confidence, going forward. It was interesting to hear of the experiences people had of Utility Warehouse. One gentlemen next to me, was at the training for a re-fresher. He had started it a few yrs ago and got off to flyer, signing up 35 customers in 3 months, going door to door, but then his work commitments took over. It was good to see that he still had faith in the company and believed that it was worthwhile returning too. The highlight of the evening was guest speaker Jim Chapman from Liverpool. He started years ago and I think he brings in around 24k a month. He has a very large team around him. He was a great motivational speaker and I can see why he was successful. His success tip was to just speak to as many as you can about the idea. He doesn't do win a mini events. So, it was interesting to hear, what methods everyone used to gather customers.
As a result, I lined my first appointment with a colleague I used to work with. She didn't sign up immediately and in fact, she wished I come and seen her a month ago as she just signed up to a new gas provider. Anyway, I said I would follow up with an email and she said she was pass onto anyone else she thought might interested.
Onward and Upwards.

I have now completed the online training which contains learning modules on each area, gas, phone, broadband etc. I am now eligible for my own branded Utility Warehouse website. I can sign customers up online now but not face-2-face as you are required to complete the 'Getting started' classroom training course first. These are run in all major cities across the UK. As, I am from Glasgow the nearest one to me is in East Kilbride. They run during the week between 1-6pm. I hope to do mine at the end of April.
In my last post I said I would explain what the Utility Warehouse was all about so here is:
Utility Warehouse provides the UK's cheapest Gas, Electricity,Phone, Mobile and Broadband to home and small businesses.
As well as saving money on all these items it also gives YOU the chance to become an Independent Distributor for the company and earn income each month.
It can be summed up in 10 easy points.
1. We promote essential utilities such as energy, internet and mobile and landline telephone services to both residential customers and small businesses in the UK.
2. Our customers save money, benefit from award winning customer service and get all their services on one accurate, convenient, easy-to-understand monthly bill.
3. You can register to become a Distributor for just £100 - and you could earn £1,000 of bonuses in your first year for meeting realistic and achievable milestones, on top of the usual payments and commission.
4. Professional training is provided free of charge online and at a training venue near you. The training system ensures your success.
5. The Utility Warehouse provides you with your own personalised website, which means that you can sign up customers and other team members online.
6. You will be provided with all the marketing materials and support you need to help you grow your business.
7. Once an application is processed by our Head Office, your customer can start saving money right away. It’s a seamless process.
8. Every time you register a customer, you get paid a Customer Gathering Bonus - up to £40 depending on how many services the customer takes (although is typically £20). When you gather 100 customers, you could have earned up to £4,000 in Customer Gathering Bonus, and there is no limit on what you can earn each month in customer gathering bonuses.
9. Every month, when your customer pays their monthly bill, you will receive a regular monthly commission based on a percentage of their spend on Utility Warehouse services - on average 3.5% (that is £5 for every £150 spent). When you gather 100 customers, your monthly income will be around £500 per month, every single month. The more customers you gather, the higher your monthly income.
10. You can also recruit other Distributors and build a team. When your team members gather customers, you get paid for all the team's customers as well.
The question now is ‘how soon would you like to get started and become a business partner of one of the most successful companies in the UK?’

Hello. Welcome to my new blog. I have started this as I have recently signed up as an Independent Distributor for the Utilities Warehouse. I wanted to document to others my journey as I go through the online training, attend the courses and start to build up some customers. In my next post I will explain in more detail what the Utility Warehouse is all about?
